Why do I write in 3 languages?
Because I want. Next.
Well, I have ties with countries that officially speak those 3 languages. I’ve also seen other people who have relations with multiple countries and languages writing posts in different languages; albeit usually each article in a single one.
My multicultural point of view encompasses not considering one language or culture as the main one. Of course I don’t have the same living experience across languages. For example, I have overall less experience in French compared to the other 2. For sure there are more typos there than here. But hey, here’s a place to practice.
Yes, it takes longer for me to draft, translate, and review each post. And maybe I’ll write things that make sense only in one language context in that language only. This is my blog and I write any way I want.
Word on the street is that some people found a stone in a town called Rosetta. That stone had the same thing written in 3 languages. No expectation that this blog, written in a medium far more ephemerous than a stone, will help in the future. But it’s cool to think that that level of multiculturalism is needed since long ago.
